Happy First Birthday Kimball!

We celebrated Kimball's birthday a little early so everyone could see him tear into that yummy cake. I can't believe he is one year old already. Our little Kimball is a huge ball of energy and smiles. At 1 year he weighs in at 28 pounds and is 33 inches tall. His weight is now on the charts (95%), and his height continues to be off the chart. He loves being with other people and is very social. He loves to be thrown around, upside down, and on the couch. He is constantly making a little motor boat sound with his mouth, and always talks/yells really loudly--we can never sit too long in a formal setting with him. Church is spent in the hallways. Kimball is a very strong little baby. He does not like to immobilized or held down in any way, so trying to change his diaper or get him dressed is a huge battle. I feel like I'm in a wrestling match with a little body that is too strong for it's own good. We love you! Thanks for bringing your joy to our family Kimball!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Starkey

It was so nice to have Great Grandma and Grandpa Starkey join everyone in CT! We were so grateful grandma made such a miraculous recovery so all the great-grandkids were able to get to know them better!

First Steps

Kimball started taking his first few steps all by himself right before his first birthday. The only problem is we have to make him walk, he does not want to take the initiative by himself. (Come on little guy, you're getting too heavy).

We went with all the cousins to see and ride the trolley, the firetrucks, and play with all the trains. The boys were in Heaven! Joey kept saying, "This is way cool!"

Bye Buffalo

It was a very bittersweet parting with Buffalo. We will not at all miss the long, cold, cloudy winters, but we will miss all the wonderful friends we made there--our new family.

Joseph will always miss his sweet friends Julia, Sariah and Noah. But a few days before we left, Sariah said she wanted to marry Joey, so I'm sure they will all stay in touch.

Last Wings in Buffalo

We took a family trip to Duffs to get our last wings and witness Peter eating the SUICIDE WINGS! Joey loved the salt more that his lunch, and I had my last Beef on Weck sandwich--oh, I will miss that!

Presents from Grandpa Starkey

I was able to go help my Grandma Starkey for a few days to help her recover from some serious illness and surgery. Peter did a great job with the boys while I was gone. The boys had fun with the presents Grandpa Starkey sent back for them.

Get a Way

Peter and I were able to go on a much needed get-a-way for 24 blissful hours! We are so grateful to Grandpa Taylor who courageously took on both boys all by himself!

We went to Niagara on the Lake in Canada, and stayed at a fun little bed and breakfast called the Britaly (owned by a "partnership" of men, one from Britain and one from Italy). We loved strolling around the beautiful town, eating peacefully, and were even able to go for a horseback ride through some beautiful countryside. Ahhh, can we go back again?

We stopped at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Peter was able to find that his long dreamed about ice cream flavor really does exist--Chocolate cookie dough made with chocolate ice cream. Yummm!
