We were excited as we set out on our car trip, but soon after we got on the highway we got a big disappointment. Google Maps said it would take 7 hours and we were so happy. But the bad thing was that the speed limit was 80 mph, but the truck could only go between 60-70 mph--aghh! the trip turned into 12 hours with a lot of stress. Because we were delayed, we called the apt. we were planning on renting to make sure someone would be available after 5 pm to give us the key, but they refused and told us we could come back the next day at noon when someone was in the office--aghh again (I was ready to strangle someone!) Luckily our wonderful Realtor found us a great town house and we were able to have a place to move into when we got there(although we did have to go without power for 2 days). But the boys were awesome on the trip! I was so impressed at what happy little troopers they were. Thank goodness for the novelty of riding the big truck with Dad, and the majic of the DVD player in Mom's car. Every little boys dream: ride in a huge truck with Dad!
Peter forgot that we hadn't loaded the garbage can onto the truck and as we pulled away, it got jammed under the car. Luckily he noticed right away.

What an adventure! I'm glad you got a place to stay and electricity eventually. Hopefully you won't have to move that far for a long time (unless you decide to move to Utah)! I love the dolphin pinata, too.
Aww, he makes us feel so good :)
The garbage can under the car made me laugh! :D
I'm sorry about the crazy adventures to get there, but I'm glad you made it! And I'm glad the boys had so much fun in the truck. Boys are great!
