We stayed in a hotel that overlooked the Marina and we woke to this beautiful view of sailboats floating back and forth. We laid in bed relishing the beautiful peaceful moments with out children. The we went to the top floor of the hotel and ate a delicious breakfast overlooking the bay.
Peter's first jellyfish encounter. it was so cute to see him get so excited over a jelly fish. I guess that's the beauty of a western mountain boy marrying a beachy east coast girl--we get to share our childhood marvels with each other.
These were the most amazingly beautiful little snail clams thingies. We had a lot of fun watching them dig back into the sand after the waves washed away.
Oh, we ate and ate. Peter had his gynormous portion of crab legs and I had lots of bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cream cheese and peppers. The night before we had delicious salmon and fresh gulf shrimp.
Joey enjoying the new pets we brought home and wearing his new shark tooth necklace.

You two are so inspirational! We REALLY need a trip like that, but we're waiting until Dylan is a little older, and when we finally take our "trip", it will be longer than a night (hopefully a week)! Thanks for sharing...and those are the funniest crab things. I bet your boys loved those!
That's AWESOME! So glad you got a getaway! I laughed out loud about Peter and the jellyfish! :) Thanks for sharing! You really WILL need to go again -- that looked fabulous!
Awesome! You guys are so wonderful to make sure to do things like that. So lucky!
Way to go, you two!!!! It looks like you had a great time! We are sure glad that you had the sweet opportunity to get away - a very smart plan! I'm impressed that Peter displayed some of that rare (for guys) ability to multi-task (referring to taking a picture with his camera while at the same time kissing his sweetheart)!! Thanks for sharing - we love it!
XOXO,
Dad, Mom
Cool pics! Thanks for sharing! :) I've never seen a jellyfish on the beach, either...but I hope when we finally go down there, they aren't there! (at least not too many :)
What a fun trip! Has Peter heard about the gigantic 500 lb. jelly fish off the coast of Japan that capsize boats - and I'm not kidding. I saw it on World News Tonight yesterday. They think toxic waste is making them grow so huge - and there are 100s of them!
Ahh, so fun!!! I'm so jealous. :) That's awesome you guys took advantage of that! Way to go!
